Christ through His Spirit teaches us how we may get back from our wandering into worldliness. The cause of fighting and wars is a worldly orientation, but God through Christ and His Spirit invite us to make a gracious fivefold return to our first love. May we in humility gain the fear of the Lord. May we with affectionate reverence, bend humbly and carefully to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And may he, in return, lift us up.
