The Old Covenant Could not accomplish all God wanted to do for his Church nor was it designed for that. The New Covenant affects everything needed for the renovation of his people – it is all accomplished and run by one mediator – Jesus. Jesus has a more excellent ministry. Do you turn Christianity into a mere religious system? Do you just follow rules without any sense of communion with the living God? Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, established on better promises – now that is a new covenant relationship.
