Diligence or growth in spiritual maturity moves you and those you are helping toward a full assurance of hope in the promises of God. If you are lazy with your Scriptures, you won’t have an answer to objections. Sin will enter and make you deluded and weaker. Graces won’t be sent from Christ in heaven, because you don’t ask in prayer. The Sacrament will mean nothing, because you haven’t studied Jesus’ purpose for the sacraments. The Lord’s day worship is flat because you don’t apply yourself to being grateful and being aware of the words in the songs. You won’t have your imagination captured due to unfamiliarity.
